CEU Course for College Personal Trainers and Stand Along Fitness Centers

The Weight Neutral Approaches to Personal Training continuing eduction course is designed to give personal trainers on college campuses and stand alone fitness centers the tools needed to identify and provide safe training to clients who might be at risk of, or in recovery for, an eating disorder. This course will provide trainers with the principles of creating an inclusive training environment that removes barriers to fitness by increasing accessibility and creating goals that are not weight loss driven. Course attendees will learn how to examine weight stigma and its effect on client health and exercise compliance. Special emphasis is placed on developing relationships with allied professionals and becoming a member of the treatment team.
